I am the owner of an Amel 54, cutter rigged Ketch sailing yacht – it is a 2006 model and I bought it from Sr. Rudi Peroni the Italian beer magnate. The sales agent for Peroni was Riza Çagdaš Cakir, the Chief Operating Officer of EMEK Marin based in Gocek TURKEY. I first met Riza on that occasion and I subsequently trusted him to undertake some major modification and improvement work on this yacht.
 
Since that time he has fitted an EMEK designed custom built solar arch at the stern of my yacht as well as completing an SSB Radio installation, an AIS installation, a Fleet Broadband installation, a life raft installation, Major servicing work on the complete range of winches, windlasses, electric sail reefing and outhaul motors, watermaker, winterization. EMEK also completed services on both the main Volvo propulsion engine and the Onan generator engine.
 
During such work it would not be unusual for an owner to question a price or the proper completion of some element of work. On these occasions Riza was always completely charming, honest and generous. It is fair to say that throughout our 12 month stay in Riza’s care and that of Emek Marin we have been delighted with excellent performance.
 
EMEK Marin and Riza certainly stand behind their service and products. They can be counted on for continuing support after departure. We are now at the start of a circumnavigation and we will without doubt be calling upon EMEK support and I have every confidence that the required support will be forthcoming, accurate, relevant and timely.
